cCarthy’s “Red Scare” to the Nazi’s “Big Lie” and what do you have?
The anarchy of today’s left – Antifa, Black Lives Matter, CNN, NBC, ABC, and a few late night comedians. And a bit of violence.
This sounds harsh. But only to those who have never heard of Goebbels or Joseph McCarthy. Given the state of our current educational system, I suspect many young people are ignorant of Tail-gunner Joe or Goebbels. And likely unfamiliar with “McCarthyism” or the “Big Lie.”
What is McCarthyism?
Miriam Webster sums it up: A mid-20th century political attitude characterized chiefly by opposition to elements held to be subversive and by the use of tactics involving personal attacks on individuals by means of widely publicized indiscriminate allegations especially on the basis of unsubstantiated charges; defamation of character or reputation through such tactics.
My favorite, from Wikipedia, “The practice of making accusations of subversion or treason without proper regard for evidence.”
Enter Democrat Representative Maxine Waters and her democratic followers (“Impeach!!”).
Hats off to Joseph McCarthy. Although despised in the ’50s, he seems now ahead of his times; destroying lives, careers and reputations with innuendo and scare tactics. So the politicians and other professional liars have settled on this as a way to destroy a presidency. This is a truth of our baser nature which was hit upon with staggering results by the Nazis and their propaganda of The Big Lie.
What is the “Big Lie”?
Here is what I mean by the Big Lie: Goebbels and his boss Hitler, well in advance of McCarthy and the Democrats, figured out that if you lie you must lie big, and they did so by spreading propaganda with a constant narrative of an innocent Germany besieged by Jews. Jews were dehumanize and often depicted as vermin – rats. Thus evolved anti-semitism into mass murder.
According to Hitler, here’s how this works: You must use a lie so “colossal” that no one would believe that anyone “could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously.” Take a look at modern left media, meaning all the main media outlets. The daily barrage of one negative spin after another, to the point where an employee – Kathy Griffin – of one of the worst, CNN, produced a video where she is beheading the President of the United States.
A psychological analysis of Adoph Hitler written by Walter C. Langer points out Hitler’s rules:
“never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.”
Sound familiar? Sound uncannily modern?
Data from Harvard studies now show that over 90% of the time main stream media promotes damaging stories about the President of the United States . They even report “non-information” that is negative.
Don’t these words from Hitler’s Mein Kampf sound poignant for today’s media assault?:
“Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying.”
The expert liars (politicians and media) and the left combining the Red Scare with the Big Lie.
Today the media seem to have abdicated all journalistic responsibility to become expert liars, and they conspire together in the art of lying.
