The state legislature has turned Colorado into a political Baby Bambi.
A partisan bill gives all of Colorado’s electoral votes (9) to the winner of the national presidential popular vote.
Colorado’s population is about four (4) million. Two coastal cities, Las Angeles and New York, have a combined population of over 12 million, a population greater than 43 states.
So Bambi, meet Godzilla and prepare to be stomped by LA and NYC. Their interests will rule.
Why would any presidential candidate bother to campaign in this state when our electoral votes will go the way of California?
The reason for electoral college was so that large population centers would not completely dominate presidential elections.
And by the same token prevail in any policy issues.
The Democrats have blown up the Constitution.
They’ve down-graded Colorado to permanent fly-over country status.
The Colorado legislature has robbed us of our what little power electoral power we have, and increased the strength of California. They’ve robbed us of our votes, our independence and self-determination.
In the war of presidential campaigns, the Democrat legislature has deliberately disarmed Colorado.
Colorado citizens need to vote this betrayal down through a ballot initiative.
