Bloomberg has a lot of money.
He has tons. Actually it’s about $60 billion. That’s more than 70% of the world’s 180 economies by gross domestic product. He could buy the entire state of Nebraska or fund the United Nations for five years.
Money is a weapon and it’s powerful. We can offer our allies a cup of water, he can offer his allies the Mississippi River. Right now his allies are the Democratic National Committee and every anti-gun legislator and wanna-be politician in the country.
How much money did Michael Bloomberg give to the Democratic National Nommittee?
According to the Wall Street Journal he’s going to transfer $18 million from his presidential campaign to the Democratic National Committee. He’s trying to strengthen the battleground program which includes 12 states and is run in coordination with the state party committees. This will be very helpful to Joe Biden because Joe has limped along with fundraising largely due to lack of donor excitement.
On the other hand, take heart, President Trump’s team has built a huge campaign organization and is planning a field operation with field organizers and digital outreach to voters. In addition, Trump and his team have more than $200 million in the bank. And more good news, his campaign has raised over $20 million in each of the last two months despite the Wuhan Corona Virus outbreak.
But keep in mind that Bloomberg has no shortage of funds. He dropped out of the Presidential race after giving his own campaign an unprecedented $935 million. With only 61 delegates from super Tuesday he spent about $15 million per delegate.
Bloomberg bought the gun control movement
Bloomberg will be spending a minimum of $60 million to defeat Trump and targeted candidates including Cory Gardner R-CO and Martha McSally R-AZ. The National Rifle Association spent only $54 million on ads during the 2016 election cycle. Bloomberg tried to buy the White House just as he did the New York City legislature and Virginia’s legislature, and now he will try to buy more seats in the Congress and Senate.
Bloomberg funded Everytown for Gun Safety in the amount of $38 million last year, more their half of their revenue.
Remarkably, this organization has the majority of its budget coming from one billionaire. ONE.
Meanwhile, the bulk of the National Rifle Association’s revenue comes from 5 million Americans.
Exactly what is Everytown for Gun Safety? It’s a nonprofit organization advocating for gun control. It was created back in 2013, when Mayors Against Illegal Guns and Moms the Demand Action for Gun Sense joined forces. The whole thing is basically funded by Michael Bloomberg. He own them like he owns Virginia.
Bloomberg is trying to force a radical anti-gun agenda
If you want to know just how radical Bloomberg’s view of the Second Amendment is just take a look at Virginia and the outrageous gun control laws they signed into effect.
Although Virginia house bills to ban the sale of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines failed in the Senate, plenty of other bills sailed through. For example, you can no longer by more than a single gun in a month. Now a red flag law allows judges to order that a person have his/her guns confiscated if deemed a threat to self or others, and new background checks include private transfers of weapons.
But more specifically, here are a few of Bloomberg’s goals included in his own political campaign platform:
Not only does he wants red flag screening to stop those posing a danger from getting permitted to own a firearm, he also wants an extreme risk screening before a gun is even purchased.
He wants all gun buyers to wait at least 48 hours for they can purchase any firearm, and of course he wants to ban assault weapons and band high-capacity magazines, and ban all guns in kindergarten through grade 12, schools, colleges and universities.
He wants to repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act so the gunmakers and gun dealers will no longer have immunity from civil lawsuits.
But here’s a great one, declare the gun violence crisis to be a public health emergency to expedite funds and research. This “research” will be a governmental approach to justify gun confiscation for the sake of “health.”
Bloomberg’s approach to “common sense gun safety” is no less than the complete elimination of our right to bear arms.
In response to Virginia’s gun-control agenda more than 100 localities declared themselves to be second amendment sanctuaries, intending to defy these gun-control laws that are unconstitutional.
This is just as ironical as universities trying to set up “free speech zones” to limit where people can engage in the constitutional right of freedom of speech. This is been found to be unconstitutional for the simple reason that the First Amendment makes the entire country a “free speech zone.”
Vote Republican
We need a similar ruling that determines that the entire country, due to the Second Amendment, is a “Second Amendment sanctuary.”
Until that happens, vote Republican.
